Raiding, Sacking and killing armies can net a large amount of food for several turns. There isnt :P Theres some options in the tech tree though. Am I missing something obvious? Are the skaven incapable of a straight up fight? While I rely on auto resolve a fair amount due to battle loading times and the aging capabilities of my rig I find Skaven just can't be trusted to auto-resolve at any time. If I try to settle ruins at a higher level than one I run out of food. If I try to build more armies to support each other I run out of food. If I try to expand my territory quickly I run out of food.
I have now gone through Clan Mors and Clan Pestilence finding my self with only weak troops against armoured opponents, Dwarfs and Lizardmen. I am alas at a complete loss with how Skaven work. Having romped through campaigns for High Elves and Lizardmen on normal, and after a tentative start with Dark Elves finally got to grips with them. I saved Skaven for my last faction as it was the race I was most looking forward to.
